(Compassionate) (Understanding) (Loving)
Full Name: Carlisle Cullen, Stregoni benefici
Nicknames: Doc Fang, Doc.
Age: Twenty Four, real age Three Hundred and Sixty Nine
Gender: male
Type: Vampire
Occupation: Doctor
Appearance: (at least a paragraph)Carlisle is described as looking, a lot like a model, the perfection of beauty. He has blond hair, is six foot two inches, and was 23 when he was turned. He was described as a movie star and Charlie said that many nurses could not concentrate on their work while he was around. But as soon as Carlisle was settled and married to Esme, Charlie said that these admirations were quickly hushed in the hospital. Carlisle is slender but muscular. It is also stated that he looks like Zeus's younger better-looking brother.
Carlisle is a tall, handsome young man, since he was only twenty three when he became a vampire. As a result, his height and his looks were frozen forever. He has Blond hair that fans his face, and sharp golden/black eyes that are traits of all Veggie Vampires. He is usually seen with a warm smile and his eyes carry that same welcoming warmth. He glitters in strong sunlight.
Carlisle is a tall, handsome (young) man, since he was only twenty three when he became a vampire. As a result, his height and his looks were frozen forever. He has Blond hair that fans his face, and sharp golden/black eyes that are traits of all 'Veggie Vampires'.
Upon first seeing him Bella thought Carlisle looked like some sort of Movie Star. He is relatively tall with a lithe frame that befits a hunter. He has blond that falls softly around his ears. It is brushed back in a fashionable style. His eyes are amber an indication of his food preference of course if he is hungry then they appear a deep black. His eyes like most of the Vampires have circles underneath as if he is not getting enough sleep. He dresses quite well as would befit his position as a doctor.
Personality: Carlisle is highly compassionate and loving person. He views all life as sacred and has made his life's work, to help others. He is incredibly patient, understanding and non-judgemental of anyone. Due to the experiences he has had he is very open minded however that does not mean he changes his mind easily. He simply knows that people will do whatever it is in their nature to do and that it is useless to try and force them to be anything other than themselves. However, this doesn't stop him from trying his best to get others to be the best people they can be. Carlisle's most prominent personality trait is his compassion. Stephanie Meyer has said that his "compassion-motivated self-control is really so incredible that it almost crosses the line into 'superpower.'" As the head of his family, Carlisle as though he is some what of a protector, to those around him.
He does the best with what he has been given to make the world a better place and encourages those around him to do the same. He would do anything for his family and looks out for them at all costs. Sometimes he finds himself falling into a cycle of brooding. When he does this, he simply remembers how blessed he is to have Esme and their children. This always serves to pull him right back out of his dark thoughts and he finds himself smiling instead. Even with all this seriousness and even with all of the hardships he has been through in his long life he is not without his lighter side. He may not be the jokester of the family, but he has a good sense of humour all the same. He is somewhat of an adviser to the family, as they often come to him for advise due to his experience and compassion.
Carlisle has a strong ability to love, which is seen in his affection towards Esme, his wife, Edward, Alice, Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper, his adopted children, and Bella, Edward's fiancée who Carlisle considers and cares for as his own daughter. Carlisle is an extremely caring and compassionate person, he wishes no suffering for anyone, and has a good tendency to understand others plight. He often forgive and forgets, past indescressions and holds nothing against what people do, unless it involves hurting family. Carlisle is there for anyone, and cares about a lot, he can see both sides of things, and has no grudges with others who do not take up the life of a veggie vampire.

History: Carlisle Cullen was the son of an Anglican pastor, born in 1640's London, England during a time of religious upheaval. Carlisle's father and other pastors led hunts for werewolves, witches, and vampires, saying that they were attempting to rid the world of evil and sin, but many a time, these groups would end up killing innocent citizens. As his father aged, Carlisle was put in charge of the raids after these creatures. He was less at ease about killing as his father was, but he was intelligent enough to find a real coven of vampires inhabiting the sewers of London. Carlisle led the hunt after these vampires, and in the chaos that ensued, he was attacked and left bleeding in the street by a vampire.
Knowing that he would not be welcomed back home and would be most likely killed, Carlisle hid himself in a potato cellar for his painful transformation, and emerged three days later as a vampire. Carlisle was repelled and horrified by what he had become, and tried various ways of killing himself, including starvation, drowning, and jumping off cliffs. Eventually he was so desperate for blood that while he was hiding in a cave in a forest he attacked and fed on a herd of passing deer. He found that he could survive off animal blood and he considered this much more humane than drinking the blood of a human, therefore killing them.
Carlisle found new life in this fact and over two centuries was able to perfect his ability to resist the blood lust that is caused by the scent of human blood. During these two centuries, Carlisle studied books at night, using his knowledge at daytime and was known as a "night-time patron of the arts". As a result of his meticulous studying, Carlisle was able to become a brilliant doctor. Carlisle was studying in Italy when he stumbled across a coven of ancient vampires called the Volturi that included three vampires named Aro, Marcus, and Caius. They were much more educated and refined vampires than those living in the sewers of London, but still drank human blood, and even though they attempted to convert Carlisle to his natural food source, they failed to convince him.
Carlisle then moved on to the New World where he ended up working night shifts in a hospital in Chicago during the Spanish influenza epidemic. During this epidemic, Carlisle encountered a dying mother named Elizabeth Masen. Her son, Edward was dying of the Influenza as well. Elizabeth begged Carlisle to do anything within his power to save her son before as she lay dying. Out of loneliness and armed with the knowledge that Edward was alone in the world, he changed him and Edward became his companion. Not soon after, in 1921,Carlisle moved to Wisconsin where he treated Esme after a failed suicide attempt brought on by the loss of her child. Carlisle felt compelled to save her life, having already treated her for a broken leg in her adolescence, and changed her, consequently falling in love with her, and marrying her later on.
Carlisle then turned Rosalie Hale, a young woman who was almost killed by her drunken fiancé and his friends, who then left her in the street to die. Later, while hunting, Rosalie found a young man named Emmett who was mauled by a bear. She carried him over 100 miles to Carlisle. Carlisle then changed Emmett, and Mary Alice Brandon and Jasper Whitlock joined his coven. Alice and Jasper were lovers as well, and changed their surnames to Cullen and Hale. Much later, Carlisle and his family moved to Forks, Washington where they had previously (before Alice and Jasper joined them) made a treaty with the Quileute Native-American tribe led by a werewolf named Ephraim Black. The treaty stated that the Quileutes would leave the Cullens alone if the Cullens would not bite any human, -let alone kill them- or trespass on their land. Because of the treaty, the Cullens were able to live in relative peace.
RP Sample: The day was clear, but a few little parts of rain here and there. At times, drops of rain splattered onto his windshield, but it was nothing that bothered him much. The rain was something he liked, it also meant that he could work, and go outside, without the fear of being seen to sparkle. The car wheels tore through the left over puddles from the rain that never really seemed to disappear, until he reached the hospital. The hospital had always been his second home and was the place where he did what he loved the most. He was a doctor, and that's what he liked to be.
The doors of the hospital flew open in front of him as he briskly walked through them. The patients were waiting there, some for appointments, some for emergencies. The receptionist at the counter had greeted him with a smile, as always like half of the female staff there, and he greeted back with a friendly wave along with a smile. He was not on the floor today, he was only a back up but yet he still felt the need to be there. The receptionist handed him a clipboard of paperwork that needed filled in, he had left it yesterday and today looked bleak on the doctor side of things. He held the paper in his cold hand, it would take him less than ten minutes to finish it up, but then he was free for the rest of the day depending how busy it became.
He walked into the office, in his familiar white lab jacket, red shirt and black pants. He took a breath as his eyes gazed around. It was the usual hospital office, nothing that stood out and everything had a purpose there. Everything had its place, and apart from reading material, and a few photos of family he had that were on his desk. Things were minimal, as really he had everything he needed there. He made his way around the desk, and took his place behind it, placing the paperwork down, his concentration was on the paper in front of him, though his office door was open, so he could see the goings on outside. A feeling told him it was going to be a slow day today, however he hoped that there would be something for him to do soon. He had thought about going home after a few hours but he wasn't sure with everything was happening if it was such a good idea.
