Time with the Denali's

[Edward Cullen]

After much discussion with Carlisle and own decision Edward made his way to Alaska, he had already rung Tanya in advance, and he hoped she had not taken it the wrong way, the main purpose of his trip was to take a genuine break, to get away form Forks and Isabella Swan. By the time he arrived he was in dire need of hunting. His eyes a pitch black, his skin almost translucent and his mood sour. He had driven all the way to Alaska, it was hardly far. He had too parked his neat little Volvo at the bottom of the hill to where Tanya and her family lived atop. With a bag on his shoulder he now stood outside Tanya's front door. He extended his hand and knocked harshly he knew Tanya was in for he could smell her yet he could smell the other members of the coven. He checked his phone, thankful he still had signal, Carlisle had said he would ring everyday, which Edward was touched by, he didn't quite realize Carlisle's compassion ran that deep.

Tanya jumped up when she heard a knock at the door. She knew it was Edward coming to see her. He had called to let her know. She wondered if he wanted to go hunting. She hadn't been in a while herself, and her eyes were a dark topaz, turning darker by the minute. She skipped to the door and opened it. "Edward!" she cried. She hugged him and then stepped back to look at him. "How are you?" she asked, smiling. Her eyes met his, and she could tell he needed to hunt. She took his bag and set it inside the door. Then she stepped out and closed the door behind her. Tanya took his hand. "More time to catch up later. Let's go," she replied. She pulled him along lightly, looking for any wildlife. They probably had to go further out from the house, since animals didn't usually live next door. Tanya would let Edward talk or stay quiet. She didn't want to talk his ear off all day. She was sure he had some things to say as well.

Edward was hardly surprised by the sudden warm welcoming, he often always got such a welcome no matter what time or when ever it was. That was Tanya. "Hello" he smiled tight lipped but returned the hug "I could be better, thank you, what about you?" he asked a moment later before Tanya suddenly took his bag. He then was instantly hald hauled away into the local forest by Tanya. It was a relife to be with others rather then his family at the moment. He wnjoyed Tanya's company greatly, and would try and continue to enjoy it at all costs. He was also pleased that with Tanya half the time you didn't have to say anything, Tanya was like another version of a sister. Although he did not love her like Carlisle loved Esme he still loved Tanya, however during his stay he was going to try and change it.

Tanya smiled and looked up at him. "I'm great," she replied. She kept on walking with him and then broke into a run. They needed to move quickly if they wanted to find any good wildlife. Finally they managed to find a few wolves. Tanya hated killing them, but it had to be done. After they'd hunted for a while, she took Edward out a little further, just to have some time to talk. She hadn't seen him in a long time, so she wanted to catch up. They came to a large cliff, and below it the ground was covered in snow. Tanya sat down and waited for Edward to join her. The cold didn't bother her, since vampires were already cold. She liked living in Alaska. It was beautiful, really. She looked around and admired the view.

Edward nodded, following Tanya's lead he did indeed break out into a run and had to slow his pace in order to keep behind Tanya, for he would overtake her otherwise. Eventually after a few hours of hunting Edward had filled his thirst to the brim, by means of a few wolves, he did however come across a grizzly bear which he then drank from. Thus fufilling his thirst entierly. Currently he now sat beside Tanya admist the mass expanse of snow, his skin looking extreamly pale against the white. A moment later he lay down on his back in the snow his arms spread out to the side, as his clothes soaked up the wetness, yet did not effect his tempreture.
